i want to stop listening to the cracking sound in my ear which has been present for almost 2 weeks on and off. i don't want over-confident answer that the wax/dirt/??? will just drop out by itself cuz if it really does, it wouldn't be for 2 weeks this long. i also want the blood in my ear to be cleaned not by waiting for it to be washed off. i want ear-syringing; sterile cleaned. i don't want a doctor who meddles with the "cotton bud" stick and comtemplates whether to clean my ear but only ends up throwing it away.

i only want dr j.p. tan cuz he will always know what i want.

what a smelly week.. i was caught off-guard, angry, disappointed, frustrated and attention-deficit. a whirlwind of emotions for the past one week. just as er mei and i was discussing about emotions, it's normal for us to react with negative emotions. but what's most important is to take captive of every thought and make it obedient. i have to admit that i have yet to totally capture all my thoughts neither will i be able to take captive fully, i feel. but at the very least that i should do is to try. i want to apologise. i want to find back a friendship. i want to listen and learn from my tutee. i want to do better for solids test next time. i want to make full use of my time.

scenic. took myself off the mind-boggling HY2232 for a moment and i'm contented. lamer said, "not bad ar... today quite good." hee... for the first time, i completed cycling from east coast to changi v. plus a stopover for ayam penyet. today the limit has been pushed. honestly, i felt like giving up on the journey back at the endless straight airport runway road. and i'm really thankful that i didn't stop in the end, otherwise i would end up in the worst state... so fear of that, i ate all my sweets. shoo! anemia!

ps... too lazy for a lengthy post. but for this photo, it is a must! i like this totally. xueli looks so happy and cheerful!!! happy birthday!!! another thing to mention, today xueli gave me such a heart-warming look after she saw the cake!!! if you shoot a photo of me now, i'm as cheerful and happy as her =)

So now... the mid term break has started. half of the rat race is over. i'm utterly disappointed to be ended up in a rat race. honestly, i'm ashamed of being lost in it. tired. still remember my new year resolution was to triumph above all the tests and the temptations. obviously, i failed for these two months. i'm into thinking; a lot in fact. and right now i'm really in the mood to think. think about the past two months in the rat race. and today, i'm feeling so talkative. i just want to keep typing. it's going to be a whole lot of randomness. as usual, i'm untidy to tidy them up. bear with it.

honestly, i'm bad spirited and lazy lately. i'm floating; up in the air feeling self-righteous. bad spirited as i threw my tantrums during my labour law project on MC. bad spirited as i refused to join in the valentines special activity as i saw not much value in it. bad spirited that i want to keep time as my own again. lazy that i procrastinated in all work; school or ministry. lazy that i refused to budge in solving problems. up in that air floating thinking that i'm thumbs-up. careless with my life experiences, thoughts, feeling, reactions. and to who that bore the brunt of all these s***, i'm really thankful and it has helped to bring me down on earth once again. the renewed zest and energy to be face my life once anew. the lesson that i learnt on "strength" and still more to be learnt.

heal the wound but leave the scar. the wound can't be left raw, otherwise complications will rise up sooner or later. if not well taken care now, open it up and sew it back nicely. let it heal. but ultimately, it still has to leave the scar. if you still remember, i wrote something along this line in the card to you long before i heard this song. then after hearing, just some points to think... i have not been courageous enough to even ask if i have opened this wound and sew it back for healing nicely. did i? i have plainly tore the wound open again and left it to heal by itself, i feel. is it? there is something bound to be unchanged between us despite a scar that is left behind on both of us. and one thing for sure, i treasure you a lot though i really hardly put it into words or even actions. and i felt so zzzz that in the end we never get to meet for a meal today. you were always the one who asked me out. i should have asked you out right? the truth be told, deep down in my heart, i miss you. miss having to meet you. so rare that i speak of such words, i learnt that i felt much better to be saying it out. and i'm not at all shy to tell about you as my confidant. it's more than just blood.

faith in friendship. hey, i like this. my life is shook by a different nature of problems this year; it's challenged to push friendship up to a level that now speaks about faith. the lack of faith in friendship that leads to jealousy. the disappointment when friendship didn't seem to progress on the surface. the incorrect thoughts of ranking friends though i hate to judge. the impulse to give up on friendship due to superficial issues. all that were the symptoms of insecure friendship. i have always thought about being secure with things of the world only and guarded friendship zealously. it has otherwise proved to be not very good actually. friendships will just remain stagnant. and it's time to push it to another level now. but honestly, i still feel that there will be tests on how faith-filled is this friendship. but for the start, i'm absolutely hopeful of the friendship at the next level and that marks a good start of faith-filled friendship.

just several weeks ago, on a wednesday too, i declared that my sony ericsson will be kept in cold storage and i'm so grateful that my faithful panasonic vs7 is always with me... now... it's not with me anymore. neither do i harbour any hope that a kind soul will return it to me. i have yet to sit down and think about "what went wrong?" my favourite 3Ws question, and i'm going to be off to collect my specs, pick up sim card and tuition soon after i post this. i hate this feeling of disoriented. disoriented for i lose my phone that i love so much. disoriented for i lose some new contacts and stored messages. disoriented for i don't even have time to sit down and think through the SOP after losing a phone. disoriented because i need to rush off to attend to other stuffs for today. so disoriented that i lost my appetite for lunch. the dory tama don seems so unappealing to me now when i'm in this state. anw, got to go. =(

you know that i'm happy. the lack of element of surprise isn't a critical one for the celebration. our laughters and all the excitement we created were what i like most. i "gian" the full attendance, having one person less really makes a different and i must say it's really really worth the wait to see all of you =)

Qian! qianster, mousey, zen micro, qi an... the many versions of your name tell that your name is so versatile. not much story to tell of us from jc. hee... the written story pages flipped faster in uni; more specifically last year. it's amazing that night when we sat at the teppanyaki counter and i listened to you talked, i found you very inspiring! in the past, i have not tried hard to know you better. i'm glad that now we can talk to each other much easily since that teppanyaki night!

Friend, 我等到你了! what can i say... it's never enough to say that you are a heartwarming friend. the differences that we were made to be has made this friendship a tough one. out of 5 years we had 3 years not knowing each other... but the focus lies on the 2 years. the things that you did, i knew it came from sincere heart and that touches my heart. a friend like you that i'm thankful for as i have always said.

i'm not sad. but maybe more of frustration. just that i couldn't find a suitable picture of it. i shall make do with this. i just can't imagine that i have overslept for 8am lesson just this morning when i set my alarm at 515am. the alarm just didn't ring. i'm sure abt it. yours truly slept really late last night at 2am and she jolly well knew that from 2am to 515am, she could only expect to nap her night through. i will describe as peripheral sleeping; drifting in and out of lalaland. and it went on till 650am and the sky is obviously bright to show me that i'm in deep shit. it's so easy for me to find fault in this phone that has failed me in many ways. and now it has selectively failed me in losing its alarm function when all other ringtone functions are working. when things like this failed, i truely felt disappointed. second week of semester and i missed my lesson? utterly disappointed. my phone going from bad to worst. anw it just hanged again? to a certain low extent of disappointment. it's perfectly alright to be grumbling about all these disappointments. cuz it's good to have expectations for myself to attend lesson on time and regularly. and also to expect a phone to work with its necessary functions since i have paid for it. sounds perfectly fine right? during such times of disappointments, i should add some positivities i guess; to make myself feel better and channel my trail of thoughts to something more productive. thank goodness, my 8am lesson does not have quiz otherwise i will be spending huge bucks cabbing to school as the traffic these days are terrible to max. oversleeping also lengthened my sleeping time. altho it might not be fully good, it's more than enough to last me for wednesday. i shall sleep till hearts content since thursday is free day. and most importantly, when i choose to give up on my phone, i'm so happy that i always have my trusty ol' panasonic VS7.

What's with the giant's hand?

I have a giant hand. Humongous, rough, untrimmed nails with unnecessary cuticles, hairy, full of callus on the palm. It looks strong on appearance, but yet it is still flesh and bones. My giant hand holds the truth. My giant hand can be used to do many stuffs.

When I'm filled with fury, I misuse my giant hand and the truth as I turned the hand cold and hard. My giant hand is no longer the real instrument of mercy as I dealt the truth mercilessly on dishonesty. And I crushed a heart with my giant hand.

When I'm filled with love, the giant's hand turns warm and soft; so much so that when the hand is laid upon a heart, the warmth and love can soften cold and harden heart; softly and slowly. Then, the heart can start beating and pumping blood. Then, a life is started.

sorry for not having to update often. i'll try to make it up in this post. it will be completely random simply becuz i haf too many threads of thoughts in my mind now. and i have no outline, i'll simply rant.

there might be a change of plan to my mission trip from 8 dec to 17 dec. i might be going but still waiting for confirmation. thx my friends for your care and concern =) i love when u care... i feel the need to explain myself clearly. the decision for mission is based on can or cannot go... not will or will not go. about this exam season... for the record time, i have 3 papers that spanned over 10 days... i struggled in the midst of the season as i couldn't make out whether my study attitude was right or wrong for i could only study 2 chapters a day... i almost ran out of stamina just last fri. whatever it is, whether i'm having no sense of urgency or just taking it slow... it's all up to me to view it. Peace, i asked for. And i give thanks for it.

randomness in the air... today the chemists went to al-azhar (spelt correctly?) for celebration. so sad that sy and hy din joined =( i had a hearty meal =) my lover is nodding head vigorously...

just to show the disparity in the stomach sizes.

miao ate cheese prata, xl ate cheese thosai, lover ate spicy kway teow and milo dino.

i ate mee goreng, tissue prata and milo dino...

i can eat all their share... pls tell me that they ate too little...

oh wells, mayday, mayday, mayday.. i liked mayday for their first 3 indie albums... but i must admit that they have outgrown me; not that i moved on. but mayday is still worth supporting=)

regarding birthday. 6 months ago, i can confidently say that i dun feel anything amiss with spending my birthday away from SG. as the day is nearer... i want to spend it in SG. as you note, it is a want. never mind that i might not be spending my birthday with friends... i have no intentions to spend with my friends cuz i dun want to celebrate without everyone in SG. never mind that i might not be spending with my family... some sort of superstition lingers in my family, not to celebrate birthdays. but i just want a family dinner.never mind if ultimately i might be just slacking at home on the birthday (if there's no stm), i just want to be available for those i care for...

for some of u may know... last year it was a miserable 3. this year is actually a test for myself on how much i have done and how much weight do i stand. it may sound rather ridiculous. but it's truely important for me... actually i have no intentions to let my caregroup knows about it. since the caregroup knew about it... heheh... caregroup exempted from the test. BUT... urs is still appreciated =) let's see how many this time...

xinyi has been through a ride on rollercoaster this week. yup... particularly this week.

the last week of the semester has proved itself to be the toughest week of the semester. xinyi had 3 tests, 1 lab report, and 1 MIDI assignment due this week. tackling them could just be regarded as any other tasks. but what's tough was the emotional rollercoaster. your friend here screwed up her physical practical test on Monday. never did she know that the test is a replica. for umpteen times, she has been through this. the worries filled xinyi to the brim. she knew very well that she hasn't done well for analytical test, physical lab reports, physical test. now, the last and the final chance to have a goal and save the module... she lost it.

walking out of the test venue with the feeling of not owning the paper haven't been rare. the much crucial point is the battle with the low spirit while preparing for the core module test the very next day. xinyi kept thinking and thinking... "what went wrong?"

that feeling never leave xinyi alone. for the second time, she failed her organic synthesis test. for the first, she failed with the marks of 13 over 45. then, it came 10 over 40 for the second test. "what went wrong?"xinyi must admit that this semester is probably the semester that she really studied and paid attention in class. for the first time in 4 semester, she has 2 free days on wed and thu, that she spent her time keeping up with the modules. not only that, xinyi has tried her best to not have any backlog. then, "what went wrong?" something must have gone wrong. nothing happens without a reason. so much of struggles, xinyi still waits for an answer as she could no longer shrug it off her shoulders.

the emotion was hauled up from the lowest to the intermediate after the organic reaction mechanism test. she sort of redeemed herself in the test. probably the only regret is not being able to finish the paper. but as what xinyi will always say...

"i would rather be not being able to finish the paper than not knowing how to do it, for at least i know i'm not stupid."

and also xinyi would like to thank the friend who called near 11 when xinyi was trying to find a comfortable position on her bed. xinyi wouldn't have picked up the phone if it's not "Unknown" she is happy to know her friend as positive as ever and she wants to say "keep it up." then, after putting down the phone, xinyi told herself to be hopeful but realistic. and she turned herself into bed.

the last day of the toughest week and the last day of the semester came and past. it was an extraordinary day. xinyi made up her mind to attend organic synthesis extra lecture to know where had gone wrong in her answer. little did she know that her lecturer managed to salvage 3 marks for her. tho' xinyi must say that the 3 marks were probably given out of desperation, she is thankful. it's some sort of improvement from 13/45 to 13/40, but could be better. that's not greed. it's the spirit of excellence.

in addition, xinyi also gotten back her dunno-what's-going-on childhood and youth test paper. it was a consoling B.

xinyi's uber duper good lab partner msged her and said that he has something for her. at that very instant, xinyi thought that her lab partner found her 9 year-old pencil. nevertheless, it was still a pleasant surprise. her lab partner prepared an exam-welfare pack for her.

to end the day off, came the science of music end-of-term test. the last and the final test that seals the module and only to wait for results in late nov. xinyi feels that she owned it for she has tried her best.

all in all, no matter what had happened and how pain it could get,

xinyi could still end the semester with a...

Forgotten her dish's name cuz my platter was just too distracting.

for the second time after the KFC two-piece chicken meal.

For the first time, Ko was successfully tricked into surprise,

as we carefully hid our tails to keep it from her.

She knew she WILL lose, as she always had been so since JC, she still played along with it.

In the end, she took turns to lose and did the largest role in clearing the platter.

Touching on the topic of BGR.

The topic that seems to creep its way up everytime. And again I have to explain my stance towards it. I really really once thought of getting married at 23, such that the age gap between my kid and I will be smaller =) But now, there's no number attached to it. Seriously. I'm seriously enjoying singlehood and there's is no place for a second person. My stance towards this was formed pretty long ago since I entered university. Then, a calling came that made me stood more firm on it. Certain policies are imposed for various reasons. But ultimately, it is the choice of man whether to want it or not.

My tutee gave me Teachers' Day present. That's sweet =)

Actually... I was thinking which student will be so sweet to give me Teachers' Day present a few days before 1st Sep.

That's quite a greedy thought. hee..

What came as a surprise was from the tutee whom I was so fed up with the previous lesson.

I was teaching her on Magnetism; the simple rule that many of us knew...

The Tam-Pines maze took my friend here very long to rmb where I stay. Now she "has" a shop of her own near my place

Lamer, maybe you can consider bringing the business over to HK, then shingshing can also enjoy the benefits of the provision shop =P

My another friend is always very caring towards others.

With Him, I am assured.

1. Be more sensitive to God's words.

Not just read. But to cling onto His words tightly.

Just as I was brooding over my loss of tutee...

I received a message early in the morning at 6.45am. From Lyndia... Miss her loads. I have not talked to her for quite some time. She referred a tuition assignment for me. The tutee is looking for an A Math tutor. But my A Math is only at the level that I could understand and not for others to understand. So I referred Jas to it. She is looking tuition assignment also! YEAH! win-win-win situation =)

My referral contacted me today! Sadly her daughter is loaded with remedials from Mondays to Fridays and could only make it on Saturdays and Sundays evening. I kinda pissed her off as I couldn't start this weekend. She stopped replying to my message. Hope she replies soon =)

From 7.00pm to 8.30pm, I'm not supposed to be at home.
I'm not glad to say this... I am at home.
I was SUPPOSED to be out for tuition.
My tuition kid sacked me even before I could get to even see his face.

I was in school preparing for some camp stuffs in the afternoon and left school around 5pm for the tuition-that-never-come-true.
Just as I was on the train, I suddenly remembered that I need to bring my certs along for first session as it is the agency's policy.

6.10pm:
I was waiting for bus to rush home to get the certs. I already made up my mind to cab down to the tutee's place at Simei after retrieving the certs. I even wanted to cab home to get my certs.

6.15pm:
I was still waiting for bus. I called the tutee's dad and hoped that he wouldn't mind viewing the certs on second session. Call was engaged.

6:16pm:
Bus 3 came. Whatever... Just board. I wasn't in my right mind to board the bus, when I should be flagging for cab to the tutee's house. My phone rang. It wasn't the tutee's dad. It was my agent.
She called to inform me that the tutee's dad just called her to cancel the tuition assignment. The tutee decided to drop out from school; hence, tutor is no longer required. So the engaged call was for me in the end.

Do I need to say how much I wanted this assignment??
I really really really want to teach.
I really want to get back to Teacher Aide. I miss the class. I miss their practical lessons.
I really want to try tutoring. Not just for the sake of money; it's also for my future. Is teaching a career for me? I hate to study without knowing for what I'm studying.
I really want to tutor this tutee. My referral has not replied me at all.. One tutee less. Left with this tutee. I really thought I could at least have one tutee.

sigh......

Afterall, it might not be bad.

Afterall, it hurts the tutee's dad more. How hurt is that man feeling right now? Struggling with his son to get him back to the books. Struggling with the thoughts to let him drop out or to stay in school. He must have went through a lot in trying to get a tutor and persuading his son to study.
Afterall, the agent has been very helpful and apologetic. She promised for a new assignment.
Afterall, I boarded Bus 3 to home and not a cab to the tutee's house.
Afterall, I'm at home with my parents =)

We visited Shokudo Food Bazaar at Raffles City B1.

A restaurant that operates like Marche but sells Japanese cuisine.

Get the access card and enter to the Jap feast...

Erm... this is very random. A random lantern found at the entrance. dots.

The stalls were just like Marche. but with a little tinge of 日本风味. The staffs were briefly dressed in Jap costumes. This chef is making the omelette. uber professional!

I love jap omelette... yummy!

The seats were also in jap style. The wooded seats. But no tatami seats...

Booked our seats. Time to feast!

1. Stir-fried seafood ramen

erm... it could be nicer without capsicum.

2. Bacon and cheese omelette

oooo.... just so cheesy. egg was sweet. with the 'cai yu pian.' *smiles*

3. Spicy Ramen (soup)

Awesome soup! The spicy taste will tickle your taste buds and keep you drinking.

4. Rosti with curry.

Marche without rosti is not Marche... But rosti with curry taste like prata. Anyway, it still taste great!

5. Omu rice with grilled chicken

Tomato flavoured rice wrapped with omelette... the rice tasted sweet and together with the omelette is the best combination.

Grilled chicken was tad too dry. Needed more sauce =)

We were done with the food. See the folded arms? She's satisfied!

Food aside.

The people are important.

Just realised we have got the same pose. the cliche pose that we never get boring of it.

It was my first time ever to write encouragement card for my shepherd.
I'm such a lousy sheep. yea~~~ I have been neglecting my shepherd so often.

Have a heart-warming story to tell...
A sheep specially learnt to bake muffin for her shepherd for her shepherd loves muffins loads... The effort and the love.. Aint that touching?? such a fortunate shepherd and doting sheep =)

When I look at myself... I took 6 months to write a simple card to her. What took me so long!?!?

I din bake anything for my shepherd. But she baked for me.
I din initiate any encouraging sms. But she msged me.
I din ask much about her life. But she cared for mine.

It was absolutely encouraging to see her smile with just one simple card.
Feel the empowerment as others get empowered.

The noodle is uber Q! The beef was well-stewed and served in large large portions! It's very filling! One bowl is enough.

Colourful pictorial books fascinated me during my childhood times. I read them in awe.

I received a pictorial book from Him. He reminded me to be His child in awe of Him.

In His book, the pictures are animated. His people are all walking ticket booths. All of them are in high spirits. All of them exude joy and confidence. All of them act with passion for His name. All of them are handing out free tickets to His kingdom.

It is a simple strip of white paper that wrote "HEAVEN" in black ink. His route to salvation is the easiest. His plan is the easiest. Just take the ticket and be saved.

Delighted are those holding the ticket.

Blessed are those holding the ticket.

Assured are those holding the ticket.

At the Heaven's only entrance, the queue is winding. Each hold a ticket. There is no rush and no chaos, but there is only eagerness. Although no one could see into the Heaven and no one knew how He looks like, none was fearing to enter into it.

Lord, I cherish and thank you for your book.

I'm loved. There were so many things I done in the past that I feel ashamed of. I'm so grateful for the grace and mercy upon me. Grace for giving me the people and things I do not deserved. Mercy for forgiving me the sins I done. Everyone is worthy to be loved :)

Why Singapore doesnt have billboards!? Singapore roads are so boring.
